Melanny & Pedro

Destination Wedding in Cartagena

Memories

Day after day Cartagena de Indias is more desired by couples looking to celebrate their destination wedding in emblematic, unique and authentic venues. These features are really easy to find in many venues located at the historic center of Cartagena. Such attributes conquered Melanny & Pedro to celebrate their destination wedding in Cartagena joined by their family and friends.

Pedro found in the streets of Cartagena many memories from his country of origin Dominican Republic. The walls, history and, above all, the spirit of joy that spreads to all visitors made him feel at home.

The Catholic ceremony took place at the Santo Toribio Church located a few blocks from the wedding venue. To highlight the architectural beauty of its interior, the couple decided that it would be decorated with candles and white flowers, perfect elements for a warm and romantic atmosphere where they would give the "Yes, I do".

For the wedding reception decoration authentic elements from the venue were used, roundtables and a large rustic wooden table decorated with many candles on golden chandeliers, few flowers in white and pink tones and lots of green leaves within this table located in the center of the room. With a maximum capacity for 30 people, the large main table hosted the wedding party and the closest family.

For lighting, the production team designed a large lamp with lanterns and 3 iron cages aligned with the large wooden table, and a set of ambient lights highlighted the aged walls of the room.

From a desserts table, drinks and snacks to the main course, the food stood out for its diverse flavors. The main attraction among the desserts was a 9-floors tower of French macaroons in pink tones that delighted all the guests.

The wedding party performance to introduce the newly married couple was a success. The day before the wedding they were practicing for several hours because the bride dreamed of a perfect entrance, and that's how it was. Each couple entered the reception with a fun choreography and then they all danced in the dancefloor with Melanny & Pedro.

The animation was in charge of a musical band performing genres like salsa and merengue and a DJ crossover. When midnight arrived, an assault of drums and dancers with rhythms and typical Caribbean costumes took the party.

That was how Melanny & Pedro enjoyed an unforgettable moment on their destination wedding night in Cartagena.
