An intimate destination wedding brings together the closest relatives and friends in a magical venue to share the moment of union between a couple, that way Sarah and Juan dreamed about it. She from the United States and he from Colombia chose Cartagena to celebrate their marriage.
Inside the walled city, the Pestagua House bloomed with carnations for the symbolic ceremony of Sarah and Juan whose style was casual and uncomplicated but the decoration enchanted everyone. Many flower petals adorned the water fountain that crosses the main patio of the house, and for the children, Moroccan-style cushions and mats were placed near the altar, finally, a curtain of carnations set the dream scenario where Sarah and Juan said: Yes, I do.
The bride walked to the altar with her father and father-in-law, and the groom went with his mother and his mother-in-law; an entrance out of the ordinary but that caused a lot of excitement among the guests.
After the ceremony, the couple and guests in the colonial room of the house enjoyed cocktails based on Colombian Hechicera Rum, Champagne and variety of Canapés.
The intimate and family atmosphere was the essence of this destination wedding, so three large wooden tables were located in the courtyard of the house to receive guests with simple arrangements in pink flowers, orange, green and many candles. Dinner was not served or buffet, but all dishes with different varieties on the table to share in a Family Style. For dessert, handcrafted ice cream cart moved to this colonial house and each guest chose his favorite flavor.
The couple, their family and friends enjoyed an evening without equal, with no complications, the only concern was to celebrate the love of Sarah and Juan as never seen and they definitely achieved it. It was a great pleasure for me to have met this couple who taught me that in the small details there are great moments.
